The Road to Le Paradis - 2nd Battalion The Royal Norfolk Regiment, May 1940 With Peter Hart Part of Infantry Week on WW2TV • Infantry Week A look at the actions of the 2nd Battalion The Royal Norfolk Regiment in Belgium and France in 1940. The most famous incident was the terrible massacre of members of the Regiment at a farmhouse by Waffen-SS forces in the village of Le Paradis. But before that event the men had fought on the River Dyle near Wavre in Belgium and then on the Escault canal in France. Through his interviews with participants, Peter will share this important chapter. Peter Hart worked as the Oral Historian of the Imperial War Museum from 1981-2020. He is the author of several military history books on the First & Second World Wars. / peterhart1915 Pete and Gary's Military History Podcast https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast...
