Mt 11, 2-11 ¿Eres tú el que ha de venir o tenemos que esperar a otro?

In those days, while Jesus was teaching in the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people approached him and asked, "By what right are you doing all these things? Who gave you such authority?" Jesus answered them, "I too will ask you one question, and if you answer me, I will tell you by what authority I do what I do: Where did John's baptism come from, from heaven or from earth?" They thought to themselves, "If we say from heaven, he will say to us, 'Then why didn't you believe him?' If we say from men, the people will turn on us, for they all hold John to be a prophet." Then they answered, "We do not know." Jesus replied, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do what I do."
