I. Peloponez Savaşı | Atina’nın Yükselişi (M.Ö 479-445)
In the 5th century BCE, Ancient Greece was being drawn into the longest and most devastating civil war in its history. On one side stood Athens, a symbol of culture and democracy that had established dominance at sea; on the other, Sparta, a traditionalist and authoritarian state known for its disciplined land army. The Delian League, formed in response to the Persian invasion, was gradually evolving into an Athenian hegemony, sparking opposition from other Greek city-states, particularly Sparta. As a result of its growing power, Athens would eventually find itself facing the Peloponnesian League led by Sparta. In this video, we explain the events leading up to the Peloponnesian War.
