JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - The actions of an online motorcycle taxi driver who tried to hold on to his motorcycle while it was being towed by Transportation Agency officers in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta, have gone viral on social media. The online motorcycle taxi driver's motorcycle was towed while he was picking up an order at a restaurant in the area. While carrying the order, the online motorcycle taxi driver pleaded with the Transportation Agency officers to return his towed motorcycle. The online motorcycle taxi driver also attempted to climb onto the tow truck. However, this attempt was unsuccessful. The online motorcycle taxi driver's motorcycle was still taken away by officers using the tow truck. The online motorcycle taxi driver was reportedly towed because he parked it inappropriately while picking up an order at a restaurant on Jalan Jatinegara Timur. Several officials from the East Jakarta Transportation Agency, including the Head of the East Jakarta Transportation Agency, Harlem Simanjuntak, then visited the home of the online motorcycle taxi driver whose motorcycle had been towed by officers. They came to visit and return the motorcycle that had been towed for improper parking. Sulis Agung Wibowo explained that he was picking up an order from a restaurant in East Jatinegara. However, his motorcycle was towed away shortly after.
