British Army Tackles Centenary Ypres Rally
The Armed Forces Rally Team took a fleet of five Land Rover Defenders to compete for the first time in the Ypres Rally and enjoyed both a rapturous reception and good results. This year's rally was a very special event for the Belgian town, marking the centenary of its destruction in the First World War. The British contingent said they were treated like Royalty. The 265 kilometre event with 20 special stages takes place over two days and a night, and saw thirty other competitors drop out with crashes and breakdowns.
