🇰🇬 Rotfront - A German village in Kyrgyzstan? We finally arrive in the famous village of Rotfront in Kyrgyzstan and can't wait to discover its unique history. Unfortunately, the museum is closed when we arrive. We call the phone number posted outside and are told to come back three hours later. While waiting, we have lunch at a small local restaurant. To our surprise, the owner turns out to be a Kyrgyz pastor. We end up having a long and inspiring conversation about faith, life, and Kyrgyzstan. Later, we return to the museum, where we spend almost three hours learning about the fascinating history of the Mennonites and how they settled in Rotfront. The museum guide puts so much passion into telling the story that we are completely captivated. That evening, we find a beautiful campsite by a river and enjoy one of the most peaceful nights of our journey. The next day, we head towards the mountains, but finding a place to stay proves much harder than expected. We drive almost all the way to Bishkek, where we finally find a spot next to a small fish restaurant. There we meet Arnold from Switzerland, and together we spend a wonderful evening. As the temperatures continue to rise and the nights become unbearably hot, we decide to treat ourselves to a hotel for two days before continuing our adventure. 🌍 Planning your own trip?
