Alan and Hebbie Rocky Mountain Belle youtube

In 1965 after recording two tunes with Josh Esplan [also featured in slideshow], fiddle player Hebbie Gray and lead singer/guitarist Allan McKenzie recorded four of their bluegrass tunes including cover of "Rocky Mountain Belle" in the living room of agent/promoter Albert Bonici of Elgin, Scotland. Mr. Bonici's record company, Norco Records Ltd [Aberdeen], then recorded the songs from the reel to reel taped session to 7 inch "45s presented here. Towards the end on 1963, Alan & Hebbie appeared on a variety show "Aye Yours" Grampian television in Aberdeen, Scotland. Alan remembers dressing as "hillbillies" with torn trousers for a few of the weekly television programs that they worked on over a three month period.
