Thank you so much for always watching our videos! ☺️ Here’s an update on how Konoha has been doing lately. Perhaps due to hormonal changes or her autonomic nervous system, she hasn’t been eating much—there are days when she only has one meal, or days when she can’t eat much at all. But she’s getting by, slowly replenishing her energy with drinks, amazake, and raw honey. She sometimes feels very sleepy or pulls at her hair, but we’re taking things at a pace that doesn’t strain her, paying close attention to how she’s doing at any given moment. Even so, we went on our usual weekend drive 🚗 We’re changing up our destinations and cherishing every moment where Konoha can feel even a little bit comfortable. This is “Kono Love Channel,” a channel featuring Konoha, who has a severe intellectual disability, and her family. My daughter, Konoha, was diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia before she was born and was born in October 2003. She was diagnosed with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) shortly after birth. Since then, she has battled illnesses such as intestinal obstruction, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and hearing loss. Until she was about 15 years old, she would be hospitalized with pneumonia every winter. She currently attends a daily living support facility.
