Stuttgart - Bad Cannstatt (D - BW) Die Glocken der Andräkirche (Abschiedsläuten)

This video presents the bells d1 -f1 -a1 -c2 -d2 [re3 -fa3 -la3 -do4 -re4] of former St Andrew church in Stuttgart - Bad Cannstatt. Following the deconsecration of the church, the bells are to be moved to a new home, although it is not certain whether the current set will be kept intact. In 1956, the Kurtz bell foundry in Stuttgart cast a new five-bell peal for the newly built St Andrew church. These #bells were cast in a special tonal sequence. Thanks to their relatively open suspension in the hall-like belfry, the peal had a special resonance. Thanks to the acoustics of the concrete structure and the high quality of the bells, a particularly beautiful peal rang out from the Andräkirche, which will be sorely missed in Stuttgart’s bell landscape. Since the early 2020s, Bell 2 had been unable to ring due to a motor fault. It was therefore rung by hand for this recording.
