Day 2 of a series of scintillating talks given by Poojya Swamiji during the Bhagavad Gita Retreat which was held during USA Jnana Yajna 2025. Date: 12 June 2025 Venue: Fairfield Inn 15011, Newport Ave, Tustin CA 92780 #SamatvaBuddhiYoga #YogaOfEqualVision #BhagavadGitaWisdom #InnerEquanimity #MindBalance #GitaTeachings #MindfulLiving #EqualVision #bhoomananda #enlightenedliving In this Satsang, Swamiji extols the uniqueness of the Bhagavad Gita, which conveys Brahma Vidya—knowledge of the Supreme Reality. It is a Yoga Shastra, guiding a sincere seeker unite everything with the inner presence, the Self. Defining life, Krishna says that contact between the senses and the world objects produces Sukha (happiness) or duhkha (unhappiness). These mental resultants are inevitable and transitory. Through discrimination, a seeker must forbear them. He who is not tormented by the alternating sukha-duhkhas, who is equanimous towards the twin responses of the mind, is fit for liberation. Samatva (equalness) towards Sukha and duhkha makes man master of the world. Samatva buddhi is truly attained when one realizes the inner presence, the Atma. He realizes that both sukha and duhkha arise from the same unchanging substratum. This Sama buddhi leads to fulfilment. Krishna exhorts Arjuna not to cling to the resulting gain of any activity, nor to be affected by the subjective, inner results that follow, nor to cling to inaction. One must perform all actions remaining established in Yoga, being free of all Sanga (delusional clinging) and having an equal attitude to success or failure. This Samatva (evenness of mind) is Yoga.
