How to solve IIT JEE Electric Circuits using Symmetry
Physics | Current Electricity | Resistor Circuits | Symmetry | IIT JEE | NEET Many tricky electric circuit questions can be solved by using Symmetry. But students often get confused about when and how to use symmetry in an electric circuit. While solving an IIT JEE question using symmetry, Sethu came up with an important doubt. He wanted to know how exactly symmetry determines the connection between currents and whether there is a neat proof for it. I showed him a proof that uses the reversibility of current and uniqueness theorem. See this video to understand these principles. Can you then use it to find the proof yourself? If you find the proof, post it in the comments section below. Next week, I will post the full video with the proof for why symmetry makes the currents at the two ends equal. I will take up interesting doubts from here to make my next video. Each video not only answers the doubt raised, but also clarifies the underlying concepts behind the misconception. About me: I got my B. Tech from IIT Madras (All India Rank 4 in IITJEE) and my PhD from the University of Maryland College Park. My passion is researching new intuitive ways to explain Physics and Math concepts. I have written several Physics and Math books based on my research. I teach students for JEE, NEET, CBSE and ICSE. I have helped thousands of students get into IITs, NITs, BITS, AIIMS and JIPMER.
