9 out of 10 people make this Mistake in Circular Motion

When a rope is cut, the tension in the string changes. Why? If a particle moves in a circular arc, the acceleration is NOT zero. Do not cancel forces unless you are sure acceleration in that direction is zero. First: Resolve forces in the direction of acceleration and perpendicular to it. Then: Use Newton's Second Law to find the Tension Force. If you like this video, subscribe to @physicsbalaji channel and also share this video with your friends. If you have any Math or Physics doubts, do post it in the comments below. I will take up interesting doubts from here to make my next video. Each video not only answers the doubt raised, but also clarifies the underlying concepts behind the misconception. About me: I got my B. Tech from IIT Madras (All India Rank 4 in IITJEE) and my PhD from the University of Maryland College Park. My passion is researching new intuitive ways to explain Physics and Math concepts. I have written several Physics and Math books based on my research. I teach students for JEE, NEET, CBSE and ICSE. I have helped thousands of students get into IITs, NITs, BITS, AIIMS and JIPMER.
