Needle Peak | Coquihalla, BC

Distance (out & back): 10 km • Elevation gain (total): 928 m • Max elevation: 2075 m On a beautiful mid-September Saturday morning, we hiked to the top of Needle Peak starting from the trailhead near the Zopkios Rest Area along highway 5. It started in the woods and the trail quickly became steep. At about a third into it, we were nearly above the tree-line and the grade almost flattened out. It made for a relaxing walk up to the fork between Needle Peak and Flatiron, which was marked by a sign on a cairn. After the cairn, it was a steep ascent to a lengthy but wide ridge that eventually led to the peak. We had to scramble almost the entire way which was about 75m. As was one of the tallest mountains in the area, it offered expansive beautiful views of the surrounding nature. ––– GEAR Fly-through created with    / @fatmap_official   Camera: iPhone 13 Pro Max Phone Mount & Handle: Studio Neat Glif – https://www.studioneat.com/products/glif ($10 Coupon @ https://studioneat.refr.cc/sudoprime) Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/vens-adams/adven...
