How Accurate Is a Flintlock Musket? | Paper Cartridge Test
In this video, I take a flintlock smoothbore musket (Brown Bess) to the range to find out just how accurate it can be when loaded with historical paper cartridges. Starting at 25 yards and working all the way back to 125 yards, I fire three shots at each distance before walking downrange to inspect the target. This test gives a realistic look at the accuracy and consistency of a flintlock smoothbore at increasing ranges using period-style ammunition. Can a smoothbore keep its shots on target at 100 yards and beyond, or does accuracy fall apart as the distance increases? Join me as we put this historic firearm through its paces and see what it’s truly capable of. I do not consider myself an expert, just a black powder enthusiast who enjoys his hobby. This video is for historical, educational, and entertainment purposes only! Thanks for watching!👍🏻
