Somehow I still wasn't quite ready to put my skis away, so I needed another tour, this time it was the Ortler! Actually, the plan was to be a bit more relaxed and perhaps even a little more extreme (ascent and descent via the Minnigerode Couloir), but due to the weather, it turned into a real whirlwind of a 2,450-meter climb in just one day, starting from Trafoi. I'm incredibly happy to have reached the summit and even managed to squeeze in some really good powder turns on the descent – ​​although, to be honest, I was also a little surprised at how "doable" it all turned out to be, even for me. This time I didn't encounter a single truly daunting situation, and while I'm incredibly grateful to be back safe and sound, I was still a little disappointed that this mountain, which sounded so daunting to me, turned out to be quite easy to reach… perhaps I've set my goals a bit too low these past few years.
