MOM & DAUGHTER WATCH OBSESSION (2026) TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME! We're back with another Mom & Daughter Reacts, and this time it's just Tessa (Mama's Geeky) and Lorie because Ivy isn't the biggest fan of scary movies... We finally watched Obsession (2026) together, and WOW... this movie completely lived up to the hype. What starts as an awkward supernatural romance quickly transforms into one of the most unsettling horror films we've seen in a long time. Director Curry Barker creates a terrifying story about love, obsession, and the horrifying consequences of trying to force something that was never meant to be. One of the first things that stood out to us was the incredible use of lighting and cinematography. Every frame feels intentionally crafted to make you uneasy, and the atmosphere just gets more and more unsettling as the film progresses. Combined with the phenomenal performances, it creates a horror experience that sticks with you long after the credits roll. And can we PLEASE talk about that cat scene?! We were absolutely losing it! It is one of those moments that is shocking, disturbing, and impossible to forget. As Bear's wish spirals further out of control, Nikki's increasingly obsessive behavior becomes genuinely terrifying. The film balances psychological horror, supernatural elements, and moments of dark humor in a way that constantly keeps you guessing. Every new reveal had us on edge, wondering just how much worse things could get. This is more than just a horror movie—it's an incredibly well-crafted psychological thriller with fantastic performances, memorable scares, and a story that keeps building until its unforgettable finale. We absolutely loved it. Michael Johnston (Teen Wolf, When Marnie Was There) stars as Bear, delivering an emotional performance as a young man whose desperate wish turns into a nightmare. Inde Navarrette (Superman & Lois, 13 Reasons Why) is phenomenal as Nikki Freeman, giving one of the year's standout horror performances as a woman whose love becomes terrifyingly obsessive. Cooper Tomlinson (Milk & Serial) plays Ian, adding to the tension as the story spirals into chaos. Megan Lawless (Milk & Serial) appears as Sarah, helping round out the film's emotional supporting cast. Andy Richter (Conan, Madagascar) makes a memorable supporting appearance that fans may not expect.
