I love fishing this river so much I BOUGHT A HOUSE near it! 🏠🎣

It's been a RED HOT and painfully dry spring and summer - at least where the water level of the UK's rivers is concerned - but that doesn't stop them looking at their jaw dropping best at this time of the year. I was lucky enough to move house, to Guildford in Surrey, earlier this year and found myself within a ten minute walk of the beautiful RIVER WEY. I've been desperate to fish there ever since, regularly walking the banks and looking for likely spots, but a combination of the closed season and fishing trips to more famous rivers like the Dorset Stour, Hampshire Avon and the Trent, meant that I didn't get to wet a line until this glorious July afternoon and evening. Using simple float fishing tactics with some maggots for bait, I set out to catch whatever I could, simply hoping to enjoy nature, find out what might live in the river and see plenty of bites!
