Paragliding Algodonales, Poniente Take Off (2.7 K)

In paragliding, as in life, things don't always go the way we expect. Sometimes we do small mistakes, other times the nature is not co-operating or something independent on our will happens, or stars don't align as we wish. But it's still important to see the bright side and make the most out of the situation. This was a day where thermals were not working and some dust devils came over the take-off at Levante, exactly as the day before https://studio.youtube.com/video/Vy2C.... So we all moved to Poniente and waited...and waited. Until the day ended. But, I got to spend time with my new friend Markos, had very interesting talks about paragliding, flying, aviation and...life in general. I took off hoping for the evening restitution, but I didn't manage to catch any good lift. Instead I enjoyed the autumn forest on Lijar, the village of Algodonales. 00:00 Take off from Poniente 01:15 Lost a few meters here, checking if there is some activity back at the take off 03:05 Nice view over the village of Algodonales, with the 18th century church Iglesia de Santa Ana dominating the place 04:35 descending fast, but the South-western side of Levante is in the sun, hoping to catch something there 05:39 finally some lift but I want to make sure I reach a safer place, so I keep going, as long as the lift works. 09:50 I managed to gain only 100 m, but that was it. I am happy anyway to see easy landing areas in sight. So I go towards the LZ from Levante. 14:50 Couldn't find anything else, so I am going for landing.
