According to a test, the installation process is relatively similar for Grohe, Hansgrohe, Bächlein, Viega, and Vilstein drains. The function should always be reliable as long as the seal is installed correctly. These types of plugs are ideal for a washbasin because they are very easy to adjust and remove. Duravit is also not a big fan of pull rods, as these can sometimes jam. Replacing the pop-up or push-open version is also significantly easier without the plug lifter. These drain plugs always have the same diameter and dimensions at the drain opening. Therefore, you should be able to install and secure them without any problems if you have already removed and replaced the old part. I would personally always recommend this particular plug, as it fits perfectly into the drain valve housing.
