Film capitalisation PAIS (Programme Agricole Italie-Sénégal)

The PAIS (Italy-Senegal Agricultural Program) aims to sustainably improve the living conditions of rural families in the Groundnut Basin by focusing on two strategic sectors: rainfed rice cultivation and horticulture. To achieve this, it supports local producers in mastering their certified seeds, strengthens their technical capacities through training and close agronomic monitoring, and supports the certification of agricultural practices. By promoting the exchange of knowledge between villages and involving key organizations such as ISRA (Senegalese Institute for Agricultural Research) and SDDR (Regional Development and Planning Services), the project aims to build strong seed and agricultural sovereignty, capable of ensuring stable incomes and sustainable food production for rural communities.
