Die Farben der Formel 1
A journey back in time to 1930s Germany…politically a dark era…but not in motorsport…the German racing cars of Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union shared the international Grand Prix victories among themselves…albeit with state support…which casts a shadow over their successes to this day… The racing cars were as aggressive as the regime…victory wasn't simply achieved…they practically destroyed the foreign competition…with engines that already produced over 600 hp… But this came at a price…German cars were known for being not only the most powerful, but also the heaviest…and when a new regulation stipulated a maximum weight of 750 kg, both Mercedes and Auto Union faced a problem… When they risked being barred from a race due to being too heavy, the legendary Mercedes racing boss Alfred Neubauer had the idea of saving weight by scraping off the white paint from the cars, thus making them lighter…very soon, Auto Union was doing just that. Same thing…the Silver Arrows are born… A story that almost every motorsport fan has heard at some point…the only catch is…the story is simply made up and never happened… Like & Subscribe for more Formula 1 videos: / @nabravoo Sources: https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/ https://www.motorsport-total.com/ https://primotipo.com/ https://en.wikipedia.org/ https://www.formelaustria.at/ / @f-won_racing https://sfcriga.com/ https://de.wikipedia.org/ https://www.hockenheimring.de/ https://de.motorsport.com/ https://www.motorsport-magazin.com/ https://www.speedweek.com/ / @arvfactory INFO: This video is for entertainment purposes only and Information is provided.
