Ukrainian drones & missiles “Made in Poland” for armies around the world | Jan Grabowski

The Ukrainian defense industry has boomed since the outbreak of the full-scale war with Russia out of necessity, but the innovations it introduced have attracted the attention of defense contractors in many Western countries. What is more, the Ukrainian industry appears to be reaching its capacity limits when it comes to production. “We are in discussions with our Ukrainian partners, both from industry and from government, and we are talking about scaling up or changing the place of production,” Jan Grabowski, Vice President of the Polish Armament Group (PGZ), told TVP World on the sidelines of the 5th Ukraine Recovery Conference hosted in Poland’s northern port city of Gdańsk. “Ukroboronprom, the state-owned industry (..) said that they scaled up ten times, that they had the revenue of $500 million, and now it's $5 billion. So this is ten times bigger. And of course, this is still not enough,” he said, referring to a limit in Ukroboronprom’s manufacturing capacity, and adding that PGZ is in talks with its Ukrainian partners to move some of the manufacturing to Poland.
