In this episode, we had a conversation with Sir Gopinath Gawas about the Goan Shigmo ritual in Goa and how it is celebrated in Sattari taluka. Also we had spoken about the supernatural power in Goa which are hard to believe. Shigmo is considered go be the oldest tradition of Goa. It celebrates our ancestors and the culture they built for their villages. During the celebration of Shigmo in Goa the villagers who shifted to cities for job purpose come back to the villages. Its a festival of beliefs. In the month of March, when the entire India celebrates Holi, the lands of rural Goa turn into a playground for our ancestors and spirits. In Sattari taluka Shigmo is celebrated differently in different villages.
