The Jungle Where Flowers Grow to GIANT Sizes
Two of the world’s largest flowers… hiding deep in the jungles of Sumatra. Will we find them both? Join me on an epic jungle adventure in North Sumatra, Indonesia, as we search for two of the world’s largest and rarest flowers — the Rafflesia and the Titan Arum or Corpse flower (Amorphophallus titanum). From lush lowland rainforests in the Gunung Leuser National Park to dramatic karst forests of towering limestone cliffs and hidden caves, we trek, climb, and explore in search of these spectacular blooms. Along the way, we’ll encounter jungle rivers, limestone caves, incredible wildlife, and fascinating plants found nowhere else on Earth. And maybe even taste some cool local fruits! Like snake fruit aka salak ;) Here's part 1 where we arrive and explore the village where we stayed - • I Found The Tree Where Condoms Come From..... I'm interested in all things gardening and love growing my own food and all types of edible plants. I live on a 2 acre piece of land in New Zealand where we are turning a grass paddock into and abundant, edible paradise and food forest! So come along on this journey with me as I experiment with growing, and try to push the limits of what I can grow. I'll share with you my successes and failures so hopefully you'll learn from them and have a go yourself!
