Driving in Slovenia & Austria: Autocesta A1 E57 E59 & Autobahn A9, A2 E66 from Maribor to Graz

In this video you can ride along on Autocesta A1 E57 E59 and Autobahn A9 & A2 E66 from Maribor in Slovenia to Graz in Austria. Together with the Karawankentunnel connection, this is one of the main international corridors between both countries in the Alps. Maribor is Slovenia's 2nd largest city, located in the East of the country. Slovenia's main highway, the A1, passes Maribor and runs until the border with Austria. Near Maribor the A4 connects the city to the border with Croatia not too far from Zagreb, and the A5 connects to the border with Hungary in the East. Austria is still doing a lot of border checks which is why the wait on the border can be quite long depending on when you cross it. We continue our journey on the A9 which passes Graz, a city with more than 200.000 inhabitants, and then continues on to traverse the Alps in parallel to the A10 Tauernautobahn. Towards the end of the video we drive onto the A2 for a short while in the direction of Vienna.
