Sint-Niklaas : entre patrimoine et modernité - Les Ambassadeurs

This week, "The Ambassadors" are setting up camp in Sint-Niklaas, East Flanders. Between Antwerp and Ghent, this Waasland town charms visitors with its Grote Markt (Main Square) – the largest in Belgium – its welcoming atmosphere, and its heritage that blends history and modernity. A town on a human scale, it owes its name to Saint Nicholas, the famous patron saint of schoolchildren. Under the watchful gaze of Saint Nicholas, whose statue overlooks the square, Nathalie will discover the church that gave rise to Sint-Niklaas, as well as the Roman Park of Vidts, a magnificent park and true green lung of the town, home to a bandstand with a rather unusual history. Renowned for its Art Deco architecture, Sint-Niklaas also reveals an iconic house, transformed into a cozy bed and breakfast and restaurant by Julie and her architect husband. 0:00 Sint-Niklaas: Between Heritage and Modernity - The Ambassadors ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 📌 You can also find The Ambassadors on: The RTBF website ► https://www.rtbf.be/emission/les-amba...
