Bedhampton Level Crossing, Hampshire

Dates filmed: Tuesday the 22nd of July 2025 / 17th of March 2026 Route(s): West Coastway Line / Portsmouth Direct Line Bedhampton (BDH) Station Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barrier crossing with CCTV (MCB-CCTV) Filming location: West Street, Havant (PO9 1NL) An incredibly busy level crossing in the west of Havant, Hampshire. It received new barriers in February 2025 to replace the 'GWE' barriers, and one of the alarms fluctuates an awful lot (heard sounding in the pitch and tone it should sound like in the first video). The other alarm, on the other hand, can be heard 'warbling' quite considerably in videos filmed on the second date about eight months later, suggesting one of the internal components was beginning to fail. Operations can vary considerably here from time to time.
