2000 Dodge Dakota idle then dying problem FIXED (Atleast my solution)
Hello! I have been having a problem where my Dakota, When I started it. It would rev up then back down to about 200 rpm then just shut off. This is due to a bad or real dirt IAC (Idle Air Control) Or atleast in my case it was. So Instead of buying a new one. We cleaned it off with Brake cleaner and cleaned out the hole it came from. They were FILTHY!!! But after that It started right up every time and never shut off! You can buy these at Autozone for about $45 but I recommend you clean them yourself and try it. Good Luck!
