Link to puff pastry recipe in my other pie video:    • I Tried A 100+ Year Old Pie Recipe- Was It...   Recipe from The Presidential Cookbook, 1904 Baker’s Custard Pie Recipe: 3 eggs, separated into yolks & whites in separate bowls 2 cups milk, scalded (heated hot to the touch, but not boiling), cooled 1 tablespoon flour, mixed with 3 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 teaspoon salt Freshly grated nutmeg or ground cinnamon to taste. Puff pastry or regular pastry pie crust, par-baked (Bake for 10 minutes at 400F with foil & pie weights, then cool) Lower oven temperature to 325F. 1. Whisk the egg whites to stiff peaks & set aside. 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolks. Add in the sugar/flour mixture and whisk well. Then, stir in the milk, vanilla and salt. 3. Finally, fold in egg whites and add nutmeg or cinnamon. 4. Pour into pie shell & bake 40-50 minutes utes or until the edges are set and the center only jiggles a bit.
