Slussen 1932 - Remastered HD 60fps

A short film from the area around "Nils Ericson-slussen" in Stockholm, just before it was demolished. It was the third lock built between Saltsjön and Mälaren, completed in 1850. These images show, among other things, the increasingly difficult traffic situation "slusseneländet" (Slussen Misery) which eventually made the lock obsolete and in need of a complete rebuild in the 1930's. The footage has been remastered to HD 60 frames per second using various AI and software. Sound has been carefully added manually for ambiance and finally the images has been colorized using AI to present this time travel experience. This is an artistic interpretation of the original footage and is by no means intended to replace the original film and its historical value.
