C6 Corvette Stuck in Gear - How to repair shifter cable, bushing, or locking paw

How to diagnose and repair shifter problems in your C6 Corvette. I cover 2 common issues with automatic transmission C6 Corvettes. 1. Broken / Deteriorated Shift Cable Bushings (Shifter moves freely) 2. Shifter Stuck In Park - tired shift lock solenoid / bad limit switches Comment from ‪@onemoreboat‬ Regarding the shifter being stuck in park. It's the two micro switches in front of the shift lever. One controls the lock and the other tells the computer that the car is in park. Both have to work in order to get the car out of park. If you know how to solder you can just buy the switches and solder them on yourself. If you decide to put new switches on someday the switch you need is Omron SS-5GL2 5amp 125v with a roller on the end. Amazon has them for $10 and get 5 in a package.
