C6 Corvette Automatic Shifter Mod for when the shifter gets stuck

This video is to show you how to do the automatic shifter modification on your C6 Corvette. when the parking shift solenoid stops working properly, it will not disengage when you step on the brake pedal so you can shift out of Park. If you simply cut out this 1 tab in the shift assembly, then you will not need to, but should still step on the brake pedal in order to shift out of Park. You will still have to squeeze the shift knob button in order to shift out of Park. It is not as dangerous as you might think. If you had a manual transmission, you would park in 1st gear. You don't need to step on the brake pedal to take it out of 1st gear, just step on the clutch. So stepping on the clutch is the same as squeezing the shift knob button.
