🌋 Today we're taking on a high-stakes scientific charter in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024! We are behind the controls of the beautiful Cessna Citation Sovereign+ by Skyward Simulations. Today's mission aboard the Skyward Simulations Citation Sovereign+ is unlike any other. Our passenger is a marine volcanologist on an urgent assignment to study Kavachi, one of Earth's most active underwater volcanoes. Rising and disappearing beneath the waves of the Solomon Islands, Kavachi is famous for its explosive eruptions, boiling seas, floating pumice, and the surprising marine life that somehow survives in one of the planet's most extreme environments. We depart Tinian International Airport (PGWT) in the Northern Mariana Islands and head south across thousands of miles of open Pacific Ocean. The Citation Sovereign+ is the ideal aircraft for this long-range mission, combining speed, efficiency, and exceptional comfort while carrying our scientist and sensitive research equipment to one of the world's most isolated destinations. After several hours crossing the Pacific, we descend into the lush Solomon Islands and land at Gizo-Nusatupe Airport (AGGN), the gateway to the expedition. From there, the scientific team will continue by boat toward Kavachi to investigate its volcanic activity and the remarkable ecosystem thriving around it.
