Kutadgu Bilig Bize Ne Anlatıyor? Kendimizle Yüzleşme Vakti

I'm going to talk to you about a book written a thousand years ago, but my aim isn't to engage in literary discussion or book promotion. We've long since passed those stages. In Kutadgu Bilig (The Knowledge that Brings Happiness), a masterpiece of Turkish state tradition and philosophy, Yusuf Has Hacib conducts a tremendous system analysis through four allegorical characters: Justice (Kün-Toğdı), Happiness (Ay-Toldı), Wisdom (Ögdülmiş), and Fate (Odgurmış). By having them converse with each other, he lays bare all the social crises, incompetence, and moral decay we experience today. In this video, through the lens of popular history and sociology, we directly dissect our own mindset using the original Karakhanid Turkish verses and their modern Turkish translations. In this noisy age where those in power bend the rules to suit themselves, and ignorance becomes the loudest chorus, we share a cup of tea and have a completely apolitical, uncensored, and unfiltered conversation. "When did we become like this?" Let's search together for the answer to this question and the ancient ideal of tradition that we have forgotten, in the verses of Yusuf Has Hacib from a thousand years ago. 📜 Bibliography and Academic Reference: The couplets and original Karakhanid Turkish texts in this video are based on the complete indexed text of Yusuf Has Hacib's Kutadgu Bilig (Reşit Rahmeti Arat, TDK Publications). 📌 Timestamps: 00:00 - Opening: Looking into a Thousand-Year-Old Mirror 00:46 - Part 1: Justice or Personal Gain?
