2000's Sekai 9” ‘Fancy’ Personal Fan | New In Box!

Filmed in 3rd of August 2024, description written 2nd of June 2026 Here's a fan that I didn't know existed until some new in box units surfaced in an online store somewhere in the 2020's. Initially I ignored these fans, thinking they're just some generic fans even though they're old stock. However as time progressed, I started to think that once these are gone, I might not be able to find more that are in as good shape, so I bought one! The picture in the listing showed a blue fan, but it's only when the parcel arrived that I found out that these were available in multiple colors, and I got a pink one! I suppose I had to have seen that coming, as Sekai fans from this era came in a wider range of colors (blue, pink, green, yellow, purple) compared to their more recent pink, blue & grey. This fan is honestly nothing more than a small C frame shaded pole motor with a fan blade, stuck inside a funky looking case. It's nothing much to write about, heck I think it's even less practical than a regular non oscillating desk fan, as you can't tilt this fan up or down. That's not to say that this is a bad fan though, as the spiral plastic grille allows this fan to project its airflow a lot further than a regular desk fan with a metal wire grille would. Overall, I suppose its just a 'meh' type of fan. The main thing that keeps me from forgetting it is just the fact that this is a 2000's time capsule, and it has odd US specific writing on the box about it having a polarized plug (which it doesn't), which makes it seem like this fan was also sold in the States under different brands. Oh, I also think there's a smaller variant of this fan with a more Vornado style fan blade. A few of those units also surfaced in new in box condition in the same time frame as when I got this fan, but I didn't get any. #Sekai #DeskFan
