HS2 Crackley to Burton Green June 2026

This film starts just west of Crackley Lane, near Kenilworth, and shows the area parallel to the Kenilworth Greenway, which follows the route of the former Kenilworth to Berkswell railway line as far as Burton Green. We then visit the south portal of Burton Green Tunnel. The last location is Cromwell Lane, Burton Green, where the road is currently closed. The new straight route of the road, on the old alignment is clearly seen, along with the curved temporary diversion road. From this site, excellent progress can be seen with covering the tunnel, when compared to my 2 previous videos from the area, linked below. Maybe the long period of disruption for the residents of Burton Green will soon be coming to and end. Cromwell Road is expected to reopen on 30th August 2026.
