[BREAKING] North West businessman Suliman Carrim's application to postpone his appearance before the Madlanga Commission will be heard next Friday. Carrim failed to appear before the Commission this week, citing illness. He was subsequently subpoenaed to appear after he was allegedly spotted in Cape Town. The Madlanga Commission has hit a delay after Chief Evidence Leader Matthew Chaskalson confirmed that the established timetable could not be met. Carrim’s legal team failed to submit their application within the designated timeframe, with the documents only received at 03:15am Chaskalson confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Carrim’s legal representatives, and the application is now scheduled for a hearing next week Friday.
