My Tacoma Was in the Shop for 2 Weeks… So We Escaped to the Mountains

After spending two weeks in the shop getting my Tacoma's suspension rebuilt and tuned for an upcoming road trip, it was finally time to get back where we belong. Kanako and I headed to a quiet campground near Lake Cuyamaca in Southern California for a simple overnight escape. No agenda. No rush. Just fresh air, towering pines, wildlife, good food, and a chance to slow down. We cooked something new on the Tembo Tusk Skottle, relaxed in the hammock, enjoyed a couple of beers around the campfire, and woke up to fresh espresso and breakfast before taking our time getting back on the road. Sometimes you don't need a big adventure—you just need one peaceful night outside.
