Ramsgate-Oostende aboard Oleander | 8mm Hi8 camcorder footage

Taking you back too 2007, this 8mm camcorder footage will take you aboard the 1980's built TransEuropa Ferries vessel Oleander as she crosses the English Channel between Ramsgate in the UK and Oostende, Belgium. Massively refurbished, her internal layout remains pretty much original. Oleander is formerly the P&O Stena Line Dover to Calais ferry Picardy, P&O European Ferries Pride of Bruges and Townsend Thoresen Pride of Free Enterprise, one of three sister ships built for the Blue Riband service across the channel, her sisters being Spirit of Free Enterprise (which was 'stretched' in the 90's and renamed Pride of Kent, Anthi Marina) and the ill fated Herald of Free Enterprise which capsized off Zeebrugge in 1987.
