Stena HSS | 8mm Hi8 footage of the world's largest fast ferry

In April 1996 Stena Line introduced the HSS, the WORLD'S LARGEST fast ferry. Three such vessels were built; Stena Explorer, Stena Voyager and Stena Discovery. A third smaller HSS was constructed named Stena Carisma. Today only two vessels remain - the Explorer & Carisma - both 'mothballed' and laid up facing an uncertain future. Stena Voyager & Discovery have been scrapped. This footage was filmed aboard Stena Discovery on a round trip voyage between Harwich International Port and Hoek van Holland. This camcorder footage was filmed on Hi8 8mm tape, converted to VHS in 1997 and digitalised thirty years later to create a legacy so future generations can [virtually] come aboard.
