The Nightmare World of Beksinski - Biographical Documentary
Polish artist Zdzisław Beksiński was born in 1929 and his formative years were spent under German occupation during the WW2 and later Soviet domination. Beginning as a photographer he moved into drawing, sculpting and later painting and is best known for his instantly recognisable, dark surrealist paintings and unique apocalyptic vision of the world. In this biographical documentary I explore the life of the creator of these unsettling dystopian dreamscapes, to try to find out what kind of man could have produced such nightmarish works of art. He led an extraordinary life – he was original, prolific and immensely influential as an artist – but his life was tinged by tragedy towards the end…. and he met a sudden violent end himself, that no-one saw coming. Finding Out More I have added some of the best books on Beksinski to my Amazon Store Page. https://www.amazon.com/shop/professor...
