Hutan Rekreasi Tanjung Tuan (Cape Rachado, Malaysia)

In this video, I take you to one of Malaysia's hidden gems: the beautiful Cape Rachado. This historic cape is located just 19 km outside of Port Dickson on Malaysia's west coast. It is easily accessible from Kuala Lumpur, the country's vibrant capital city, or from historic Melaka. In a way, it was a typical Planet Doug type of day. GRAB drivers ignored me in the morning, which left me trudging down a busy highway for 5 kilometers under a hot sun. But that turned out to be okay. The 5-kilometer walk gave me time to talk about a naval battle that took place just off the coast of Cape Rachado over 400 years ago. This battle between 31 ships shaped the course of Malaysian history. Highlights of the day included hiking down jungly trails, checking out a historic lighthouse, and a swim at a stunning tropical beach. Incidentally, I was also stabbed by a tree, tripped by a tree, and enthralled by a bunch of trees. So, sit back, relax, let me do all the work, and enjoy the video.
