Kateel to Ladakh Road Trip on Thar Roxx | Jaipur to Shimla | Day 4 | Shri & Shree
We started Day 4 in a palace. Not a hotel. Not a resort. An actual 200-year-old royal palace in Jaipur — Sahar Palace — owned by the royal family of Jaipur. No alarm. Just birds, palace workers, and the kind of quiet morning you want to bottle and carry with you. By night, we were in a hostel bunk bed in Shimla. In between: 450 kilometres of some of the smoothest expressway in India, a dust storm outside Delhi that explained everything about Delhi's air quality, a broken fog lamp fixed roadside in Haryana, sunflower fields, the first Himalaya mountain appearing on the horizon — and the moment we crossed our 9th state of this trip. This is Day 4 of our Bangalore → Ladakh road trip. And it might be the most cinematic day we've had yet. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🚗 WHAT HAPPENED ON DAY 4: → Woke up at Sahar Palace, Jaipur (a real royal family's home) → Famous Gulab Ji Chai Wala + Poha breakfast before leaving → Crossed the Aravali Range into the expressway → Hit Delhi — caught a live dust storm → Haryana fields for miles → Fog lamp breaks — fixed it ourselves with our tool kit → Sunflower fields (Shree had a moment 🌻) → Crossed Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh — our 9th state this trip → First Himalaya sighting through the windshield → Arrived Shimla — checked into a hill station hostel ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📍 ROUTE: Jaipur (Rajasthan) → Delhi → Haryana → Punjab → Himachal Pradesh → Shimla 📏 DISTANCE: ~450 KM 🛣️ ROAD: NH48 + NH44 + NH5 — mostly expressway, smooth and fast 🚙 CAR: Thar Roxx 4x4 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🗺️ FULL SERIES — NAMMA Kateel TO LADAKH: ▶ Ep. 1 — • kateel to Ladakh Road Trip on Thar Roxx | ... ▶ Ep. 2 — • The Fuel Panic That Nearly Ended Our Ladak... ▶ Ep. 3 — • Kateel to Ladakh Road Trip on Thar Roxx | ... ▶ Ep. 4 — You're watching this one ▶ Ep. 5 — Slow Life in the Mountains (Coming Soon) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎒 OUR GEAR ON THIS TRIP: 📷 Sony Alpha R3 — Primary camera 🚁 DJI Mini 4 Pro — Drone shots 📱 iPhone 14 Pro — POV & behind the scenes 🎙️ DJI Mic Mini — Audio 📸 Insta360 X5 — 360° & creative shots 🎬 DJI Osmo Nano — Stabilized walk shots ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📸 Instagram → / shubhashreee_bhat / shri_nandan 🎬 YouTube → Shri & Shree (Subscribe for the full journey) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💬 DROP A COMMENT: → Have you driven the Delhi–Shimla expressway? → Would you stay in a palace AND a hostel on the same trip? → What's the most beautiful stretch of highway you've driven? ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ #LadakhRoadTrip #JaipurToShimla #BangaloreToLadakh #TharRoxx #IndiaRoadTrip #CoupleTravel #ShriAndShree #NammaKaadu #ShimlaTravel #HimachalPradesh
