The Fuel Panic That Nearly Ended Our Ladakh Dream | Mangalore to Ladakh EP 02 | Shri&Shree

We left Bangalore at 4AM. The plan was clean: breakfast in Andhra Pradesh, lunch in Telangana, evening chai in Maharashtra, and reach Nagpur by night. Simple, right? The road had other ideas. Somewhere in Hyderabad, our wheel balance gave up. We lost an hour. Then — in what can only be described as our first great mistake of the trip — we decided to skip fueling in Telangana to save a few rupees. By the time we crossed into Maharashtra, there wasn't a single open pump in sight. What followed was 40 minutes of quiet panic, some very convincing roadside negotiation, a jerry can filled to the brim, and a lesson we will never forget. 1,094 km. 4 states. 16 hours. And Ladakh was still 3,500 km away.
