Cidades inteligentes ou cidades criativas? | Elvis Vieira | TEDxUFLA

Elvis understands that contemporary cities are relatively new organizations that challenge us in terms of improving the quality of life for the people who live in them. To this end, he proposes that they be designed to be intelligent, creative, but above all walkable, as he believes that changing perceptions about urban space transforms how people interact with it. He is an architect and urban planner from FAUUBC, with a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning (FAUUSP). He is a Professor of Urban Projects (FAU – Brazcubas Educacional) and a thesis advisor (FAUUNIP – São José dos Campos). He is a former Deputy Secretary of Urban Policy for Suzano and former Director of Projects and Works for São José dos Campos. Currently, he is the Secretary of Urban Planning and Housing for Suzano – SP, and Coordinator of the Urban Planning Technical Chamber of CONDEMAT – the Consortium for the Development of the Municipalities of Alto Tietê.
