It's like a representative of Thai street food being brought to an international audience. It reminds us of another Thai dish, "Pad Thai," which has become art you can eat. And the creator isn't just another artist from far away, but our very own Thai artist. This artwork is called Pad Thai and is the work of Thai artist Rirkrit Tiravanija. It was first created in 1990 and was exhibited at the Paula Allen Gallery in New York. Instead of painting as most artists do, Rirkrit created food and distributed it to the audience for free.
