Got An Absolute Monster 200 Lb Halibut!! Day 5 Island Point Lodge 2025

Well as the title implies, we got a big one on Day 5 of the Island Point Lodge in Petersburg, Alaska! By trying new bottom everyday, we increased our shot of finding little fished areas were the big ones live. First fish of the day turned out to be a 196.5 lb 72 inch monster Halibut, my new PB! The rest of the day was great as well with a full boat limit of Halibut and a couple cod. Celebrations were in order at the dock! This was the largest Halibut of the year caught at the lodge, securing me a free trip for next year!
