1st Halibut of 2026 — TOTAL CODFEST!!! 🎣🐟🔥 Halibut Fishing - Juneau, Alaska! MAY 2026 #alaska

First halibut trip of 2026 and it turned into an absolute ACTION PACKED day on the water!!! 🎣🔥 Mary and I headed out near Juneau in mid-May and managed to jig up our halibut limit (and then some!) while fishing some beautiful calm Alaska water. On top of that, the Pacific cod were EVERYWHERE… total codfest!!! We ended up catching around 15 cod along with a nice rockfish mixed in. To top it all off, we rounded out the day with 5 keeper Dungeness crab for the table.
