CONSULTING COMMUNICATION SKILLS - Difference between Process and Content (how consultants talk)

In training programs for young consultants, lots of focus is put on effective and professional communication. Young consultants regularly get feedback on how they presented a certain argument or idea in internal discussions or in client meetings. The feedback is often much more focused on the "how" than the "what" of the communication. In this video, I discuss the difference between process- and content-orientation in communication and why one is usually superior over the other. This topic, together with the broader concept of top-down communication, is taught by many large consulting firms such as BCG or Bain.
