Heider SV vs. SV Hemelingen | Aufstiegsrunde 3. Spieltag

On the final matchday of the promotion round to the Regionalliga Nord, Heider SV and SV Hemelingen played to a goalless 0-0 draw. Despite the lack of a goal, the spectators at the Hoheluft Stadium witnessed a hard-fought and intense match in which both teams still had promotion hopes, but in the end, neither could secure the win. The first noteworthy chance belonged to Hemelingen. In the 32nd minute, the home side sent a free kick from a central position just wide of the goal. A minute later, they had another opportunity, but it went begging. Hemelingen's best chance came in the 50th minute. After a shot from number 11, which the Heider goalkeeper could only parry, the ball fell directly to the feet of a Hemelingen attacker. He was unmarked in front of goal, but slipped at the crucial moment and failed to control the ball – a scene that perfectly encapsulated the course of the game. Heider SV also created some good opportunities. In the 81st minute, a header from close range went just wide. In the 88th minute, the black-and-whites briefly celebrated what they thought was the opening goal, but it was disallowed for offside. In stoppage time, the Hemelingen coach received a red card after a dispute on the sidelines. With the 0-0 draw, Heide finishes the promotion round in third place with three points and a goal difference of 3-3. Hemelingen takes two points with a goal difference of 2-6 and remains fourth. Ultimately, neither team managed to secure promotion to the Regionalliga.
